As your DJ, my role goes far beyond playing music; it's about creating an atmosphere that compliments your personality as well as making sure there are no sudden "surprises" on your wedding day. A bride once told me that 'the best surprise on my wedding day is no surprise.' And that's so true.
My ultimate goal is for you to simply enjoy your day without having to answer questions or worry about what's coming next. And that's why I take the time to fully understand every detail: your music, your timeline, and each key moment - so I can keep everything moving smooth. And by the time I walk into your venue, I already know exactly how the day will unfold, leaving you free to spend time with family and friends.
After more than 21 years in the wedding business, I decided it was time to write a book about my experiences. I wrote "The diary of a DJ" primarily to help brides avoid so many common mistakes, most notably when searching for, interviewing, and hiring DJs. I interviewed some of my past brides and asked them what they stressed over yet wished now they hadn't, and also asked for some of my favorite vendors for their best advice for brides in their area of expertise. I also go through every single event in a typical wedding, how to pick songs, how to organize the itinerary; what, when and how to ask your DJ to make their dreams a reality.
Most brides go in blind and lost, not knowing what to do or where to go, and most vendors, more importantly DJs, won't give you this kind of valuable insight without a contract first. But now, you'll learn as much as I have and know what's it like from a DJs perspective. I hope you will give my book a try, it will greatly minimize and reduce the stress, anxiety and aggravation that comes with planning a dream wedding!
